Botox and fillers

Our Botox and fillers are administered by Jan Elliott RGN. Jan has qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1989, and has gained extensive knowledge and experience in the healthcare industry, both clinically and commercially.

She has worked in the Leicestershire area as a District Nurse for over 10 years, having a specific interest in wound and skin care so you can be rest assured that your treatment will be safe and clean with Chic Hair and Beauty group.

Every time we use our facial muscles to frown, smile, raise our brows for example we strengthen them - like taking them to the gym for a workout!

Over a period of time the lines that once only appeared whilst we were using them can become permanent – especially as our skin ages and loses elasticity, collagen fat and water, and gravity begins to have an effect.

The most popular and effective way of preventing the lines becoming permanent is by Botulinum toxin injections. (B-ToX)

The most popular areas for treatment are the frown lines, forehead lines and crow"s feet; however with advanced techniques B-ToX can be injected into the chin to reduce the crease, around the mouth to soften "pucker" lines and the muscles around the jaw to soften a "droopin" mouth.

Advanced injectors can also use B-ToX to treat excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis) under the arms or feet.

The effects of the treatment are usually seen around 5 – 7 days, but can sometimes take up to 2-weeks. The effects last approximately 2 – 3 months – often longer with repeated treatments.

Once you have had your treatment, you can return to work and carry on your day as normal.
